Get out and about this summer!
Some people tell us that Hertford can be dull and/or they don't know what's going on. So with the sun still shining we decided to give you a taster of events coming up in your local area in the next few weeks.
Community
The Victorian House- Tuesday 25th August
Hertford Museum is currently on tour as the museum is closed for redevelopment. Hertford Museum staff are going to Hornsmill Community Centre (Hertford) to give the public a taster of what life was like before electricity and washing machines. 10.30am - 4pm http://www.hertfordmuseum.org/news.asp
Annual Crayfish Festival- Monday 31st August
Come along to Folly Island in Hertford town centre and catch Crayfish in the Hertford Canal. From 2pm.
Vintage Fair - 5th September
A vintage fair will be held in the Corn Exchange, Hertford. Everything vintage will be sold from vinyls to accessories. Arrive early to get the best bargains! 10am-5pm.

Music
Live Band at Hertford Castle- Sunday 16th August
Epping Forest Band will be playing in Hertford Castle. 2.30-5.pm
Live Lounge at Deco, Hertford- Sunday 6th September
Every first Sunday of the month is Deco's acoustic night showcasing local talent. The Deco house band will be playing classic tunes and their own distinctive material. http://tinyurl.com/lgneor
Festivals
Folly@TheFolly - Sunday 23rd August
Street party in Folly Island, Hertford . The event is in aid of the National Deaf Children's Society and aims to raise funds and awareness for the charity. Much of the day's entertainment will be held in the Old Barge pub, but local residents on Folly Island will also be decorating their homes. Many bands are attending, playing a wide range of music.

Love Ware: Live Ware - 28th- 30th August

Commotion on the Common (Hartham Common, Hertford) - 31st August 2009
Bank holiday fun for all ages, organised by Hertford Churches Together. Events include face painting, climbing walls and crafts. 2pm-5pm. http://hdct.org.uk/
